City Girls rapper JT is finally out of prison and she’s released a fiery new song, “JT First Day Out,” to mark her return.

JT, whose real name is Jatavia Johnson, announced her release on Instagram with a post and a blaring caption: “BITCH I’M RIGHT ON TIME FOR THE SEASON CHANGE.” Her City Girls partner Yung Miami followed up with a post of her own: “YOU BITCHES IN TROUBLE!! MY BITCH HOME!”

In 2018, JT turned herself in for credit card fraud and was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment with an initial release date of March 2020. Then in June 2019, Quality Control’s CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas announced in an interview that the rapper would be released “within the next 90 days.”

On the confident new track, JT touches on the massive rise in popularity City Girls experienced—partly due to a Drake cosign—while she was behind bars. “Went in the same day Drake dropped “In My Feelings” / I was in prison on my bunk, really in my feelings (Facts) / Now I’m back to the millions, bitches in they feelings,” she spits.

Elsewhere on the song, JT also credits Yung Miami for holding the City Girls fort during her sentence, and sets the record straight on a pregnancy rumor that Yung Miami had tried to quash. “Oh, and one more thing before I go / How y’all gon say a made bitch was pregnant from a C.O.? / I don’t fuck with cops or blockers, you bitches slow / Stop with all the rumors, and tell your n***a I’m home,” she declares.

City Girls previously released a video for their track “Act Up,” and featured alongside Tyga on the YBN Nahmir track “Fuck it Up.”
