Is it any surprise that Pusha T’s concert in Toronto—Drake’s stomping ground—didn’t go smoothly? Last night, attendees rushed the Danforth Music Hall stage where the GOOD Music boss was performing, inciting chaos which resulted in three hospitalizations.
Rumors that Pusha had been attacked flew around last night as the mayhem unfolded, but judging by the rapper’s retweets, it seems that people tried to rush the stage, inciting a brawl. The would-be stage-crashers were quickly intercepted by the rapper’s security detail.
After a brief lull, Pusha—unharmed—came back onstage to perform “Don’t Like” and “Infrared” (the Drake diss track, for the uninitiated). At one point, he talked to the crowd and claimed that people were “paid” to sling beer at him.
As Pitchfork reports, the police were called, and three people were sent to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. But TMZ adds that another person with serious stab wounds was sent to hospital as well, though it remains unclear whether that injury was a result of the brawl or a separate incident.
