Proud parents Offset and Cardi B flooded Instagram this week with adoring content in celebration of their daughter Kulture’s first birthday. The sweetest post, however, was a montage of the adorable toddler set to an unreleased track by Bardi.

The untitled song, which samples Eve’s 1999 single, “Love is Blind,” was recorded before the rapper released her Grammy-winning debut album, Invasion of Privacy. It is a love letter from the rapper to her then-unborn baby daughter. “‘Cardi you so stupid, you gon’ ruin your career’ / I know I won’t, but if I did I wouldn’t care / I started winning, when the whole world was doubting on me / You think I’m gon’ lose when my little baby’s counting on me?” she spits.

“Thank you everybody for wishing my sweet baby a Happy Birthday,” Cardi wrote on Instagram. “I made this song one day before I turned in [Invasion of Privacy] and Eve gave me the green light for the beat I was so grateful! She a real one! It didn’t make it on time tho cause as you can hear I was maaa stuffy with a terrible cold. I couldn’t get it right no matter how many times I spit it. Even when we try to mix it u still sound stuffy. I love my baby she changed my life.”

Cardi recently dropped the fiery single, “Press,” which takes aim at the media. She also made an appearance at the BET Awards 2019, where she performed a mash-up of “Press and “Clout.”
