Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s much-anticipated collab “WAP” has arrived.
Produced by Ayo & Keyz, the booming bass-driven track features the rappers spitting raunchy rhymes about their “wet ass pussy.” “I said certified freak, seven days a week!” they declare on the chorus.
The collab dropped alongside a cameo-heavy music video, which featured a non-explicit version of the song. According to Cardi, they had to release a censored version because “the song was so nasty that YouTube was like, ‘Hold on, wait a minute, that song might be too goddamn nasty.’”
The clip, directed by Colin Tilley, follows Bardi and Meg as they explore a lavish mansion, with an unexpected surprise behind each door in the house. One room lands them in a sandpit full of snakes while another opens to a gorgeous throne room covered in leopard print. Normani, Rosalía, Rubi Rose, Sukihana and Kylie Jenner also make appearances.
“WAP” is the latest preview of Cardi’s as-yet-untitled sophomore album, due out later this year. The record is expected to include the previously released singles “Press” and “Money.” Meanwhile, the collaboration marks Megan’s first release since her shooting accident in July. The Houston rapper is currently gearing up to release her debut album.
