Bugzy Malone, Chip officially bury the hatchet on “Notorious”

The grime rappers have finally made peace.

After ending their infamous beef back in 2017, Bugzy Malone and Chip have now joined forces to confirm their reconciliation on “Notorious.”

Since 2015, the British rappers traded a slew of diss tracks but eventually made peace with each other two years after. In 2018, Bugzy claimed their feud ultimately benefited the grime scene because it gave artists in their realm attention. “We single-handedly developed a lot of the attention that went onto grime music because something real was happening in there. Something really could have gone wrong,” Bugzy explained to Capital Xtra.

On their collab, the duo look back at their history over a sample of Turbulence’s reggae anthem “Notorious.” “See, it’s time to show maturity and do it for the city,” Chip spits. “So me and B ain’t ever going out like Pac and Biggie.”

“Notorious” is expected to appear on Bugzy’s upcoming album, The Resurrection, due out February 12. The collab also dropped alongside a chaotic video of the rappers cruising recklessly down a street. Check it out below:
