Brooke Candy releases her debut album, ‘Sexorcism’

Including appearances from Charli XCX, Rico Nasty and more.

Brooke Candy has dropped her long-awaited debut album, Sexorcism.

The 12-track LP features a star-studded line-up of guest artists such as Iggy Azalea, Erika Jayna, and RuPaul’s Drag Race winners Violet Chachki and Aquaria. The full-length also includes the previously released singles, “FMU” with Rico Nasty and “XXXTC” with Charli XCX and Maliibu Miitch.

Candy’s new record was released via London-based indie label, NUXXE, after years of delays under her former label RCA Records. “I’m convinced [RCA] signed me as a tax write-off! There were so many pushbacks, and I shouldn’t need my art approved by like ten old white men who are like, ‘What the fuck is this?’” she told The Face. “Maybe my art is too subversive. Everything in pop culture feels really homogenized right now, and that’s not my gig.”

Sexorcism is Candy’s first project since 2014, when she released the Opulence EP. Stream the new album below:
