Brockhampton’s Kevin Abstract drops “Slugger” with $NOT, Slowthai

Brockhampton frontman Kevin Abstract has collaborated with $NOT and slowthai for his latest solo track, “Slugger.” Abstract also dropped a music video with a shortened version of the song.

“I don’t know my strength like I’m Lennie in Of Mice & Men / Just how I been wired, hay-fever for your sinuses / David and Goliath, sticks and stones might break bones / Every time I’m winnin’ they try move the goal post,” slowthai spits on his fiery verse.

In the colorful visual, Abstract raps while hanging out with his friends in a clothing factory. He also wears pieces from his new WARHEAD collection, his debut clothing collection from his label Video Store Apparel.

Abstract’s last solo material was the 2019 album Arizona Baby. Earlier this year, Brockhampton dropped the album Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine, which included tracks “Don’t Shoot Up The Party” and “Count on Me.” It followed 2019’s Ginger and is potentially the group’s penultimate LP.

On the other hand, $NOT released music videos for “Whipski,” “Sangria,” and “Like Me,” while slowthai dropped videos for “adhd,” “Vex” and “Cancelled”—all from his 2021 album Tyron.
