Brockhampton return with music video for “I Been Born Again”

‘Ginger’ is imminent.

Brockhampton are back: The boyband have released a new song and video called “I Been Born Again.” The track previews their follow-up to their 2018 album, Iridescence.

Produced by Romil Hemnani and Jabari Manwa, the single features vocals from group members Bearface, Kevin Abstract, Merlyn Wood, Dom McLennon, Joba and Matt Champion.

In the gritty, Spencer Ford-directed clip, the collective rap their verses on the pavement as the camera constantly moves and rotates. The disorienting visual perfectly encapsulates the song’s changes in tempo, volume and style.

“I Been Born Again” is the first taste of Brockhampton’s forthcoming album Ginger, which they announced last month. Back in June, Abstract told GQ the group wanted to make a “summer album.” “Feel-good,” he explained. “Not so sad and like, ‘Oh, our life sucks,’ just more like, ‘Just enjoy what’s in front of you.’”

Ginger is expected to arrive sometime this month. While you wait, check out “I Been Born Again” below:
