Brockhampton enlist Dua Lipa, Jon B for “Sugar” remix

Featuring extended verses from Matt Champion and Bearface.

Brockhampton have released a remix of their Ginger standout, “Sugar,” featuring Dua Lipa and Jon B.

The rework features extended verses from members Matt Champion and Bearface, who opens the song with melancholic lyrics. “It’s seven o’clock on the dot, I’m in the drop top / Your legs on the dashboard, your legs on the dashboard, ooh / So tell me what I’m to do, whenever I miss you? / Tell me do you love me, I, I,” he sings.

Lipa appears later on the track, taking over the parts previously performed by Dom McLennon and joining Ryan Beatty on the chorus. Meanwhile, Jon B contributes a new verse on the latter half, singing alongside Bearface. “Show me all the sugar I’ve been patient for / Pour some more on you, sugar on me / Show me all the sweet things you’ve got in store,” they harmonize.

“Sugar” has received two music videos since its release last August. The first, NSFW video dropped in December while the second clip, which arrived at the end of last month, offered a more PG-friendly version. Both videos were directed by frontman Kevin Abstract.
