Brockhampton announce new album due in April

‘Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine’ is on the way.

Brockhampton have officially announced their next album: Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine.

The news comes shortly after the release of its first single, “Buzzcut” featuring Danny Brown, and its accompanying music video. Now the hip hop group have confirmed the album will be out April 9. They will launch the record that same day with an online show performed live from Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California—the headquarters of producer Rick Rubin.

Brockhampton had previously hyped up the record with a video featuring Rubin, in which the superproducer praised the three opening tracks of Roadrunner as “unstoppable… out of the box, crazy and unexpected.” They’d previously released a clip with RZA, who called the group “magic.”

Roadrunner will be the follow-up to the band’s previous album, 2019’s Ginger. That record featured “Sugar,” “Dearly Departed,” “Heaven Belongs to You” featuring slowthai and more.
