Will 2019 be DJ Khaled’s year—especially with Travis Scott in his corner?
The hitmaker had a relatively quiet 2018 after the success of “Wild Thoughts” and “I’m the One” last year, but it seems he’s gearing up for a comeback. Over the weekend, Khaled tweeted that he’d been in the studio with one of the year’s hottest rappers, Travis Scott, working on a “big big big big anthem.”
It also seems that he’d passed on an opportunity to perform at Art Basel to work with the Astroworld don. It came down to an “executive decision: get the bag ? or secure the bag ?,” and Khaled made his choice. Was it a wise one? We’ll see when the song drops.
Check out Khaled’s tweet below:
Today I had a lot offers to perform for art basel . I had to make a executive decision, get the bag ? or secure the bag ?. I decide to secure the bag ? so I worked in the studio on a big big big big anthem alert ?!!!!!!!! @djkhaled x @travisscott @wethebestmusic ?? FATHE… pic.twitter.com/Av4tK54WLz
