Black Thought releases star-studded collab, “Good Morning”

It features Killer Mike, Pusha T and Swizz Beatz.

Black Thought’s new EP may be delayed, but he has released a star-studded collaboration called “Good Morning” to tide fans over.

For the hard-hitting track, the Philadelphia rapper enlisted the help of Killer Mike, Pusha T and Swizz Beatz. On it, Thought, Mike and Pusha trade razor-sharp bars about the Black community and its history, while Swizz handles the laid-back chorus.

“Surrounded by Black women, West African king / And I’m gonna go to Ghana to reclaim my name / While these chump rappers rap about the shit they cop / Man, I cop my block, and this shit don’t stop,” Mike spits.

“Good Morning” will appear on Thought’s upcoming project, Streams of Thought Vol 3: Cain and Abel, alongside “Thought Vs Everybody.” The EP was initially slated for a July 31 release, but has since been postponed after the untimely passing of Malik B, his former The Roots bandmate.
