Black Thought drops new single, “Thought Vs Everybody”

His new EP, ‘Streams of Thought Vol 3: Cain and Abel,’ is on the way.

Black Thought has returned with “Thought Vs Everybody,” the first taste of his upcoming EP, Streams of Thought Vol 3: Cain and Abel.

On the track, produced by Sean C, the Roots member addresses the current social reform movement sparked by police brutality and racial injustice. “My hands against the wall outside a billiards hall / I hear police discussin’ whether to try and kill us all / I questioned if that would matter / Much like a tree that falls in the woods / Even with iPhone footage to see if it fall,” he spits.

Streams of Thought Vol 3: Cain and Abel is the follow-up to Black Thought’s 2018 Salaam Remi-produced Streams of Thought Vol 2. The new 13-track EP is set to feature Pusha T, Killer Mike, Swizz Beatz and more.

Streams of Thought Vol 3: Cain and Abel arrives July 31. While you wait, listen to “Thought Vs Everybody” below:
