Big KRIT announces new album with the celebratory single, “KRIT Here”

Are you ready for ‘KRIT iz Here’?

Big KRIT is ready to take the summer by storm. The Mississippi rapper has announced his forthcoming album, KRIT iz Here, and has unveiled the record’s lead single, “KRIT Here.”

The empowering track dropped alongside a powerful MV. In an arresting scene that references the African American slave trade, KRIT goes up on the auction block and is divisively described as an “underrated, underground rapper… He’s a lyricist, and he’s country.” The video culminates in a joyous church service let by KRIT, and an impressive fireworks display.

“Ain’t nothing like celebrating my independence,” KRIT said in a press release. “Shoutout to [producer Darhyl] Camper [Jr] for being able to match the energy on the production and bringing this full circle.”


KRIT iz Here arrives July 12 and is the follow-up to 2017’s 4eva is a Mighty Long Time. Watch the video for “KRIT Here” below:
