Benny the Butcher, Harry Fraud drop ‘The Plugs I Met 2’

Plus a video for “Plug Talk” featuring 2 Chainz.

Benny the Butcher has dropped his new album The Plugs I Met 2, which was entirely produced by Harry Fraud.

The Griselda rapper announced the project in January, promising a gritty sound: “Me and Harry goin back to them dirty street corners with this one,” he declared on Twitter.

The nine-track release is the follow-up to 2019’s The Plugs I Met, which featured Pusha T, Black Thought, Jadakiss and more. Guests on the fresh release include 2 Chainz, Jim Jones, Chinx, Fat Joe and Rick Hyde.

The project was accompanied by a music video for “Plug Talk,” featuring 2 Chainz, which takes cues from Benny’s lyrics and begins with the rapper in an exclusive interview with a journalist, where he discusses his new project and the November incident in Houston in which he was shot in the leg. It then transitions into a meeting for ‘Hustlers Anonymous,’ with Benny and 2 Chainz in attendance.

The Plugs I Met 2 comes after a busy 2020 for Benny. He dropped a joint mixtape with DJ Drama and his own album Burden of Proof. The latter featured the tracks “Timeless” featuring Big Sean and Lil Wayne and “Famous.”

On the other hand, The Plugs I Met 2 is already Harry Fraud’s second project of 2021. The producer put out a joint EP with Jim Jones, The Fraud Department, last month.
