Benny the Butcher has enlisted Lil Wayne and Big Sean for “Timeless,” a taste of his upcoming album Burden of Proof.
Weezy and Sean take turns spitting hard-hitting verses on the track, which was produced by Hit-Boy. Benny handles the chorus: “What’s a king to a god, n***a? I’m gon’ live forever / N***a, I’m gon’ live forever / This for hoes that’s fuckin’ rich n***gas, you get a Rollie too / ’Cause if I’m up, bitch, we gon’ shine together.”
Wayne jumps on after, boasting about the ability to end the careers of other rappers. “Steady diet of heavy drugs, rollin’ kush here / Like Pirelli tires on Chevy trucks, but still a Goodyear / They got every eye on each one of us, well n***a, look here / I’ll come catch your ass on career day and end your career,” he spits.
Sean then wraps up the track with a reference to his label, the Kanye West-owned GOOD Music: “Signed a slave deal, now a n***a up, ownin’ my masters / Watch me turn GOOD into great / It’s first steps to everything, even takin’ leaps of faith / Swear it’s labels that’s up Bs that owe me Ms.”
“Timeless” will appear on Benny’s upcoming album Burden of Proof, due out October 14. The record will also reportedly feature collaborations with Rick Ross, Freddie Gibbs, Queen Najia, Dom Kennedy and fellow Griselda rappers Conway the Machine and Westside Gunn.
Last month, Benny released Gangsta Grillz X BSF Da Respected Sopranos, a joint mixtape with DJ Drama. On the other hand, Lil Wayne recently dropped “NFL,” featuring Gudda Gudda and Hoodybaby, while Sean recently teased a new project with Jhené Aiko.
