A$AP Ferg, Nicki Minaj drop wild video for “Move Ya Hips”

A spoof of ‘Ex Machina.’

A$AP Ferg has released the video for “Move Ya Hips,” his recently released collaboration with Nicki Minaj and MadeinTYO.

None of the rappers appear in the clip but their absence doesn’t make it less entertaining. Billed as a short film, the “Move Ya Hips” video is a parody of Alex Garland’s 2014 sci-fi thriller, Ex Machina, which starred Oscar Isaac and Alicia Vikander.

The music video opens on a man who decides to buy himself a sexbot as a solution to his loneliness. Although he enjoys the new company at first, things start to go downhill after he reprograms the sexbot into “freak mode,” which turns the machine violent.

“Move Ya Hips” is the latest collaboration between Ferg and Minaj, following their 2018 song “Runnin,” which appeared on the official Creed II soundtrack. On the other hand, Ferg released a song with MadeinTYO last month called “Square Bitch.”
