Anderson .Paak, Kendrick Lamar demand “Tints”

These rappers need their privacy.

Anderson .Paak and Kendrick Lamar have teamed up for “Tints,” the second single from .Paak’s forthcoming album Oxnard.

Produced by .Paak and Om’Mas Keith, the smooth, funky jam is much more in line with the laid-back energy of .Paak’s last album, Malibu, than the first hyperactive single “Bubblin.”

Its conceit is simple: With all the cash and the beautiful women they ferry around, and the paparazzi always on their tail, these rappers just can’t live without tinted windows. .Paak is emphatic on the hook: “I need tints!” Lamar concurs.

Fans have been anticipating further collaboration between .Paak and KDot ever since the former appeared on “Bloody Waters,” off the latter’s companion album to the blockbuster Black Panther. .Paak stoked those hopes when he posted a photo of them both late last month, promising something dropping in October:
