Anderson .Paak graced The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday night with a soulful rendition of “Trippy.”
He brought the Oxnard cut to life on stage (sans featured artist J Cole), with the help of his band The Free Nationals, backing vocalists and Grammy-winning jazz trumpeter Maurice Brown. The singer-rapper, bathed in blue neon light, played drums and sang at the same time.
.Paak also sat down for an interview with Fallon, teasing the potential release of yet another collaboration with Dr Dre. “I mean, I made a lot of music with Dr Dre, like, probably two albums’ worth,” he said. “And honestly, [it’s like] music I really feel like getting out.”
