A$AP Ferg has released his first banger of the year, “Value.”
On the enormously catchy, Razjah-produced track, Ferg commands attention with braggadocios bars. “Look at me, look at me, look at me, look at me, look at me, look at me now / Fuck is you kiddin’ me? All of my jewelry cost about a hundred thou’ / Fuck all my enemies, never had sympathy, Fergie finna lay ’em down,” he spits.
Ferg recently sat down with Zane Lowe of Beats 1 for an interview about “Value,” where he talked about recording new music with Kanye West and Pharrell Williams’ influence on his style.
“[We’re] just making music and just having, like, a lot of conversation,” he said of Ye. “If it wasn’t for Kanye and Pharrell being in hip hop, I would probably know how to do it, but they showed me how to just fully immerse in yourself and be yourself.”
The single serves as a follow-up to Ferg’s 2019 EP, Floor Seats, which included tracks like “Jet Lag,” “Wam” featuring MadeinTYO and “Pups” featuring A$AP Rocky. Last year, Ferg also guested on Big Sean’s song “Bezerk.”
