So… is Kendrick Lamar dropping a new album soon? Well, according to a now-deleted Instagram story by Polydor Records, the answer is yes.
Polydor, the European distributor for Universal Music’s Interscope Records, revealed that Lamar, along with stars like Lady Gaga, Madonna, Black Eyed Peas, Selena Gomez, Billie Eilish, Schoolboy Q and Lana Del Rey, will be putting out a new album in 2019.
This news comes just a week after Los Angeles Times published a profile on the Compton rapper, who denied rumors that he’s currently working on the follow-up to 2017’s Pulitzer-winning, DAMN. The interview, written by Jeff Weiss, noted that KDot was, at that time, merely “jotting down thoughts, ideas and questions.”
