A follow-up to Dr Dre’s 2015 Compton album is reportedly underway.
According to XXL, comedian-actor Page Kennedy shared the tip on Twitter last week, saying that Dre’s new album sounded “fire.” “Hope y’all get to hear,” he tweeted, adding a smirking devil emoji.

Shortly after, a fan asked if Eminem would also be dropping his album soon, to which Kennedy replied, “Well he def on this one lol,” suggesting that Slim Shady is expected to appear on Dre’s forthcoming project.
Neither Dr Dre nor Em has confirmed the speculation sparked by Kennedy’s tweets.
Dre dropped his last album Compton in 2015. His first record in nearly two decades, the album arrived after his highly anticipated Detox project was scrapped. Compton featured guest spots from Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and more.
Earlier this year, Dre’s label Death Row Records, which he co-founded with Suge Knight and The Doc, was officially acquired by Hasbro. It followed the popular toy-making brand’s 2019 deal with British multimedia company Entertainment One, whose catalog included the rights to the music label.
Meanwhile, Em returned with his 11th studio album, Music to Be Murdered By, earlier this year.
