A Boogie wit da Hoodie has enlisted Lil Uzi Vert for “Reply,” a cut from his forthcoming third studio album, Artist 2.0.
On the melancholic track, the rappers reflect on the superficial relationships they have with women. “You only want me ’cause my life’s televised / And I can see all them lies in your eyes / But I’m no different, selling dreams for tonight,” Uzi spits on the opening verse.
A Boogie handles the chorus, delivering Auto-Tuned vocals over a bouncy trap beat: “But what if I put on a disguise for the night? / What if I was to put my life up on the line? / Don’t pay no mind to them bitches, like a ticket, you’re fine / Gave you a shoulder to lean on for when you cry.”
“Reply” will appear on Artist 2.0, the follow-up to A Boogie’s sophomore album, Hoodie SZN. The new record, which has yet to receive a release date, will also feature “Mood Swings.”
