21 Savage has shared a gruesome new visual for his single, “Spiral.”
The track was recorded for the Spiral: From the Book of Saw soundtrack, which Savage worked on as an executive producer.
Directed by Mike Ho, the new “Spiral” clip incorporates footage from the upcoming movie, which stars Chris Rock, Samuel L Jackson, Max Minghella and Marisol Nichols. The video also finds 21 Savage at the SAW Escape Room in Las Vegas, where he butchers meat, hangs upside down and wields a machete.
“He don’t want no problems and it’s obvious / Call me Saw ’cause I laugh when I body shit / We play hot potato with the opps, we be droppin’ shit / Givin’ out free smoke ’cause we got a lot of it,” Savage spits over spine-tingling production by Slaughter Gang’s Kid Hazel.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw, which is the ninth installment in the Saw film series, will hit theaters on May 14. The accompanying soundtrack album is set to be released through Savage’s own Slaughter Gang label on Epic Records. The film was scored by Nine Inch Nails composer Charlie Clouser.
“Spiral” marks Savage’s first solo single of the year. In 2020, he also dabbled in horror-inspired visuals for his joint project with Metro Boomin, Savage Mode II, which featured the tracks “My Dawg” and “Glock in My Lap.”
