21 Savage, Metro Boomin drop much-awaited ‘Savage Mode II’

The sequel to the duo’s 2016 joint project, ‘Savage Mode.’

21 Savage and Metro Boomin have returned with Savage Mode II, the long-awaited sequel to their 2016 joint EP, Savage Mode.

The duo announced the record earlier this week with a trailer narrated by Morgan Freeman. Savage handles most of 15-track record solo, although Drake, Young Thug and Young Nudy do join him on three album cuts: “Mr Right Now,” “Rich N***a Shit” and “Snitches & Rats,” respectively. On the production side, Metro is credited on every song, but also gets some help from hitmakers such as Southside, Honorable CNOTE and Zaytoven.

Prior to the release of Savage Mode II, Savage and Metro had teamed up with Migos’ Offset on the 2017 joint album, Without Warning. Earlier this year, Savage linked up with Summer Walker on “Secret.” On the other hand, Metro Boomin previously appeared in the video for The Weeknd’s “Heartless,” which he produced.
