21 Savage hosts Thanksgiving dinner for families in Georgia

’Tis the season of giving.

21 Savage celebrated Thanksgiving early: Earlier this week, the rapper served free festive meals to hundreds of needy families in his hometown of Georgia.

According to local news outlet The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 21 hosted a holiday dinner for more than 300 families at the Wade Walker Park Family YMCA in Stone Mountain on Tuesday evening. The event was held on behalf of his non-profit organization Leading By Example Foundation.

As TMZ reports, 21 was joined by his mother, who helped serve the crowd with classic Thanksgiving plates. The menu included dishes like roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, mac and cheese.

21, whose real name is She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, launched Leading By Example in March 2018. The campaign is focused on providing financial literacy to underprivileged youth.

Meanwhile, on the music front, 21 was nominated for Best Rap Album for his 2018 LP, I Am > I Was, at the 2020 Grammys.
