21 Savage goes deep for “A Lot” on Fallon’

It’s the opening track from his latest album, ‘I Am > I Was.’

Savage 21 showed fans his intimate side in his introspective rendition of “A Lot,” the opener of his chart-topping LP I Am > I Was, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Sitting center-stage on a stool, away from his backup singers and band, the rapper drew the audience in with an evocative performance. His world-weary verses and sincere delivery contrasted with the lively sample of “I Love You” by East of Underground.

21 released I Am > I Was late last month, and became his first record to top the Billboard 200. The album features guest vocals from Post Malone, Childish Gambino and Travis Scott, among others.
