2 Chainz, Mulatto celebrate pandemic pounds on “Quarantine Thick”

The duo organize a sleepover in the rowdy music video.

2 Chainz and Mulatto are here to normalize pandemic pounds with their new single and video, “Quarantine Thick.”

The Atlanta rappers deliver playful rhymes about our new normal—like closed gyms and constant snacking while under lockdown—while they post up at a bootylicious slumber party, quarantine-style.

“She said, all the gyms closed, so she been feelin’ lazy / She been late night snackin’, but shawty still my baby,” 2 Chainz spits over Yung Lan’s beat. “She been quarantined, now l’il shawty thick.”

Prior to the collaboration, Mulatto dropped a video for “In n Out,” her collaboration with City Girls from her recent album Queen of Da Souf. 2 Chainz, on the other hand, recently jumped on a remix of Kanye West’s “Nah Nah Nah” with DaBaby. He released his last album, Rap or Go to the League, in 2019.

“Quarantine Thick” and the Lil Wayne-featuring “Money Maker” are expected to appear on 2 Chainz’s upcoming project So Help Me God, which will land this Friday. Earlier this year, he also worked with his TRU Records roster on the compilation No Face No Case.
