2 Chainz, Lil Wayne team up on “Money Maker”

An ode to HBCUs.

2 Chainz and Lil Wayne have teamed up on a new song, “Money Maker.”

The high-energy track pays tribute to Historically Black Colleges and Universities, with Chainz and Wayne slinging rhymes over a sample of Southern University’s marching band. “Now shake your money maker/ Don’t let that money make ya,” Tity Boi raps.

“Shake that money maker,” Wayne answers back. “Shake it lemon pepper / Like a salt-shaker / Give me high blood pressure.” The rappers also namedrop several universities, including Jackson State University, Morehouse College and Acorn State University.

The “Money Maker” collaboration arrives a few months after 2 Chainz teased an upcoming sequel to ColleGrove, his 2016 joint project with Wayne.
