03 Greedo and Chief Keef have joined forces on a new single, “Bands in da Basement.”
On the gritty track, the rappers swap bars about keeping their wealth on the down low. “Bands in the basement, money in the mattress / Work in the walls, I got millions in my mansion,” Greedo spits on the chorus.
Keef jumps in later with a rapid-fire verse: “Heart frozen cold, playing with fire just for fun / Bang Bang got his education, but he got a gun / Club full of bitches, and a pocket full of ones / Chopper in my pants, it gon’ come out like the sun.”
“Bands in da Basement” is the latest release from Greedo, who’s currently serving a 20-year sentence for drug and gun possession. Last year, he released Netflix & Deal, a star-studded joint album with producer Kenny Beats. The project featured collaborations with Freddie Gibbs, Maxo Kream, Buddy and more. Greedo also dropped joint releases with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Mustard.
