Zedd, Elley Duhé share sinister visual for “Happy Now”

Hell hath no fury.

Think twice before you cheat. Or face the consequences. At least that’s the lesson in Zedd’s video for his collab with Elley Duhé, “Happy Now,” which takes a nasty turn after a woman plots catches her unfaithful partner.

Directed by Dori Oskowitz, the clip follows a couple and their friends on a laid-back summer vacation. The group chill by the poolside all day and dance all night. But, clearly, not everyone is having a good time. When the woman finds her boyfriend getting cozy with someone else, the story quickly goes Gone Girl grim. It’s an unexpected twist to what is initially a light-hearted visual.

“Lyrically, it’s a song that is both happy and sad at the same time,” Zedd said in press release. “Musically, it’s a song that rather leans towards a happier, sunnier side.”
