Yaeji releases “When in Summer, I Forget About the Winter” video

To celebrate the first anniversary of ‘What We Drew 우리가 그려왔던.’

Yaeji has dropped a music video for “When in Summer, I Forget About the Winter,” the bonus track from her 2020 mixtape What We Drew 우리가 그려왔던.

The MV offers a glimpse into how the producer spent 2020, collecting a number of videos from her time spent playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, working on music and hanging with her friends, family and dogs in Seoul and New York.

“When in Summer, I Forget About the Winter” was originally part of the Japanese and Korean CD release of What We Drew before it was added to streaming services in October last year. On “When in Summer, I Forget About the Winter,” Yaeji employs hazy vocals, a mesmerizing beat and swathes of reverb to craft an enchanting minimal electronic track.

Yaeji also announced a new suite of merchandise to celebrate the first anniversary of What We Drew. The drop included a sky-blue vinyl pressing, shirt and plush toy of her cartoon character Woofa. Both the vinyl and plush have already sold out, with no indication whether more will be made available at a later date. Shop the producer’s merch here.
