Yaeji has announced a new mixtape with the fresh single “Waking Up Down.”

The track arrived with an adorable anime-style video, directed by Annie Xing Zhao, in which a series of coaches helps Yaeji and her furry dog friend improve at various aspects of their lives, including waking up and cooking. The clip was based entirely on Yaeji’s own original character designs and illustrations.

“Waking Up Down” is the first single from the mixtape What We Drew 우리가 그려왔던, which the Korean-American musician produced on her own over the course of two years. In a statement, Yaeji described the release as “so much about friendship, family, gratitude and support—support that I’ve felt, that I’ve given, and that we all share.” Guests on the mixtape include Brooklyn rapper Nappy Nina, London performance artist Victoria Sin, London producer Shy One and Tokyo DJ/producer YonYon.

What We Drew 우리가 그려왔던 follows Yaeji’s name-making 2017 release EP2. The mixtape is due out April 2 on XL Recordings.
