Watch M83’s surreal new video for “Temple of Sorrow”

    Producer M83—also known as Anthony Gonzalez—has shared the video for “Temple of Sorrow,” a new track from his upcoming album Digital Shades Vol II, or DSVII.

    The surreal video is the first section of a three-part film, Extazus, a collaboration between Gonzalez and French experimental filmmaker Bertrand Mandico. It introduces a demon by the name of Extazus, who writes the story of a character called Nirvana Queen. His protagonist later breaks free of her fictional prison to take charge of her destiny.

    DSVII is a sequel to 2007’s Digital Shades Vol 1, though in an official statement Gonzalez called the new record “in [his] opinion, far more advanced” than its predecessor, which was “supposed to be a bedroom project.”
