Following his return with “Freelance” last month, Toro Y Moi is back with a funk- and Afrobeat-inspired track, “Ordinary Pleasure.”

Chaz Bear’s newest groovy offering opens with djembe drumming before a sweet, bouncy synth bass line makes its entrance. “Maximize all the pleasure / Even with all this weather / Nothing can make it better,” he sings on the chorus.

Both songs will appear on his new album, Outer Peace, due out in January. “This record is a response to how disposable culture has become and how it affects creativity,” Bear explained in a statement. “While listening, you might pay attention or ignore—either way that’s ok, this is music for a creative mind.”
