TOKiMONSTA taps Jean Deaux, Bibi Bourelly for “One Day”

It dropped alongside an empowering video.

Ahead of her forthcoming Oasis Nocturno album, TOKiMONSTA has released “One Day,” featuring Jean Deaux and Bibi Bourelly.

On the song, Deaux and Bourelly trade empowering lines about proving their naysayers wrong. “Me and my whole squad / Finna go hard, it’s all in or nothing / And we fightin’ the odds / But I’m a young girl with a big heart on me,” Bourelly sings on the chorus.

Likewise, the accompanying video features the trio leading a group of taekwondo students, imparting their wisdom to a younger generation. The visual was filmed at the Tenri Dojo, a nod to TOKiMONSTA’s Korean heritage.

“Buried deep inside us is the will to overcome the most difficult hardships,” TOKiMONSTA said of the track in a press release. “As women, Bibi Bourelly, Jean Deaux and I know how strong you have to be to push forward when no one believes in you. ‘One Day’ is dedicated to every person of every creed feeling life’s hardships, but not losing themselves to it. Our drive and our determination will guide us to the faint light at the end of the tunnel.”

“One Day” is the third preview of TOKiMONSTA’s forthcoming album, Oasis Nocturno, following “Love That Never” and “Fried for the Night,” featuring EarthGang. The record arrives March 20 via the producer’s own label, TOKiMONSTA Music.
