TOBACCO recruits Trent Reznor for “Babysitter”

The experimental producer has a new solo album out later this year.

Experimental producer Thomas Fec, better known as TOBACCO, has released his new single “Babysitter,” featuring Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor.

Fec’s new release is the latest preview of his upcoming solo album Hot, Wet & Sassy, the follow-up to 2016’s Sweatbox Dynasty. On “Babysitter,” the producer processed his vocals as well as Reznor’s to an extreme level, so fans can be forgiven if they didn’t immediately recognize the two musicians.

“This was new for me, but I wanted to write a song that was everything I am and have been, and then like one notch further,” Fec explained in a statement. “Trent was the notch further.”

Prior to “Babysitter,” Fec released a collaborative album with Aesop Rock under their joint project Malibu Ken. The self-titled release included the tracks “Corn Maze” and “Tuesday.”

Hot, Wet & Sassy will be released on October 30 via Ghostly International. Listen to “Babysitter” here:
