TNGHT preview first EP in seven years with “Dollaz”

‘TNGHT II’ arrives next month.

Electronic duo TNGHT—aka producers Hudson Mohawke and Lunice—have announced their sophomore EP, TNGHT II, with a brand-new track titled “Dollaz.”

The glitchy track, which features choppy vocal samples over a strong bassline, dropped alongside a trippy video. The eerie visual features shots of dollar bills on fire intercut with unnerving CGI renders of the producers in dressed hospital gowns.

“Dollaz” is the second track released from TNGHT II, following “Serpent.” In a press release, Lunice noted that the new EP is a sonic departure from their self-titled 2012 debut project. “While it doesn’t sound the same as the first record, the energy is. This could only come from us,” he said.

“I think it’s a good indicator if something sounds weird and refreshing to us,” Mohawke added. “It’s got to fuck with us a little bit when we’re listening to it.”

The EP arrives November 12 via Warp/LuckyMe. Watch the video for “Dollaz” below:
