Skrillex rocks out with Swae Lee and Siiickbrain on “Too Bizarre”

See them mosh in an underground show in the music video.

Skrillex has released the new rock-leaning single “Too Bizarre,” featuring Siiickbrain and Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee.

“Yeah, this is too bizarre / But I love things how they are / My mega superstar,” Swae sings over the track’s fuzzy basslines and electric guitars.

Released on May 14, the uptempo track is accompanied by a music video that depicts the three at a lively underground show. As the song reaches its climax, experimental rock artist Siiickbrain screams verses into a light bulb she holds.

The single is the second track Skrillex has released in two weeks. “Too Bizarre” follows last week’s “Butterflies”, which was a collaboration with Starrah and Four Tet. The producer also dropped the track “Kliptown Empyrean” exclusively on social media last year.

Although “Too Bizarre” marks a turn away from Skrillex’s original aggressive dubstep sound, the producer—real name Sonny Moore—isn’t new to rock sounds. Moore previously fronted post-hardcore band From First To Last, whom he reunited with in 2017 to release the single “Make War.”

Swae Lee’s second solo album, Human Nature, is also expected to be released later in the year. He’s dropped singles from the album, including “Reality Check”, “Someone Said”, “Dance Like No One’s Watching”, and “Sextasy”.

Meanwhile, Siiickbrain most recently dropped a collaborative single with Pussy Riot in late March, titled “Power.”
