SG Lewis drops collaboration with Nile Rodgers, “One More”

Hear the disco legend team up with the English electronic musician.

With only two weeks to go until the release of his debut album Times, SG Lewis has shared his collaboration with disco veteran Nile Rodgers, “One More.”

As expected from Lewis, “One More” pits quirky electronic sounds against infectious dance beats and funk grooves. Rodgers’ recognizable guitarwork adorns the track, helping the euphoric chorus take shape as Lewis delivers flourishes of shimmering synths.

According to Lewis, “One More” cemented his debut album’s overall sound as it was the first song he wrote for Times in Los Angeles.

“SG and I have been working together at my home away from home, Abbey Road, for a couple of years now,” Rodgers added in a statement. “I love how effortless and cool this song is. The awesome Julian Bunetta and John Ryan wrote on this with us and killed it!”

To celebrate the long-awaited release of his album, Lewis will live-stream a performance on February 19 alongside some special guests. The producer explained in a statement that though Times was made to be played in front of a live audience, this digital show will bend the rules of live performances to offer a truly unique event. Besides Rodgers, Lewis also recruited Robyn, Channel Tres, Lucky Daye, Rhye, Frances and Lastlings to contribute to Times. The album will arrive on February 19. Listen to “One More” below:
