SG Lewis, Clairo reunite for “Throwaway”

The pair previously worked together on “Better.”

Producer SG Lewis has teamed up with singer-songwriter Clairo again, this time for the atmospheric new song, “Throwaway.”

The dreamy track incorporates Clairo’s layered vocals over finger snaps, bright synths and a mellow beat. “Baby, take my hand and I’ll show you the way / Bring you a little closer, tell you it’s okay / I don’t wanna be something you can throw away,” she sings.

The duo wrote the song together one evening in Los Angeles, Lewis revealed in a press statement. “We were both super tired and had some shit going on in our respective personal lives. We sat and talked for ages, and after that [it] flowed out in no time at all.”

“Throwaway” follows the pair’s last collaboration, “Better,” which was released last June. The track is also the latest single from the producer’s forthcoming sophomore album, Dawn, which closes his Dusk, Dark, Dawn trilogy.
