RÜFÜS DU SOL release new single, “No Place”

It's the first taste of their upcoming third album.

Australian electronic outfit RÜFÜS DU SOL (formerly known as RÜFÜS) are back with a brand new single—the first taste of new music since their last LP, Bloom.

“No Place” sees the trio taking the ambient, ethereal dance sound that made them such a success, and moving it towards an exciting direction. Starting with lead singer Tyrone Lindqvst’s vocals over a sparse soundscape, the track slowly builds before taking off in a wave of synths.

The track—and the upcoming third album as a whole—was largely inspired by the vast, empty Californian desert that the group encountered during their first year in the American state.

“It feels like a new RÜFÜS,” the band said in a statement. “We are inspired by our new home out here, by the people we’ve met and the music we’ve heard along the way.”
