Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos shares unearthed demos and more

Dozens of unreleased reworks and vocal stems have been uploaded onto his SoundCloud.

Passion Pit frontman Michael Angelakos has treated fans with unreleased material on his SoundCloud.

The singer unearthed a plethora of vocal tracks, instrumentals and reworks of Passion Pit compositions and shared it onto the streaming platform. Nearly 40 tracks have since been uploaded to Angelakos’ SoundCloud page, including a standout live recording of Passion Pit’s 2008 track “Smile Upon Me,” the vocal stems from their debut single “Sleepyhead,” and a 2017 redux of “To Kingdom Come.”

The bio on Angelakos’ page notes that a free sample library will arrive soon, but eager producers can find ample material available to rework now on the singer’s account.

“Stay healthy, everyone, and thank you for the continued support in any capacity, including spending time with my odds and ends on here,” Angelakos wrote in his Soundcloud bio. “Hope you find at least something enjoyable.”

Passion Pit have remained largely quiet since their 2017 album Tremendous Sea of Love, following Angelakos’ assertion that the band would go on hiatus so he could focus on his mental health. The group made a brief return last year to collaborate with Galantis on their loaded electropop single “I Found U.”
