Oneohtrix Point Never drops ‘Love in the Time of Lexapro’

An EP with contributions from Ryuichi Sakamoto and (Sandy) Alex G.

Oneohtrix Point Never is on a roll this year. In June, the acclaimed electronic musician dropped the album, Age of, and followed that up with an EP, We’ll Take it, just a month after. Now, he’s dropped yet another short suite of songs, Love in the Time of Lexapro.

This new four-track EP is split squarely between new music—the title track, which is a staple of OPN’s MYRIAD live productions, and the jittery “Thank God I’m a Country Girl”—and other artists’ reworks of songs from Age of. Electronic legend Ryuichi Sakamoto puts his own spin on “Last Known Image of a Song,” while Philadelphia singer-songwriter (Sandy) Alex G takes a guitar-forward approach to “Babylon.”
