Octo Octa announces new EP with “Find Your Way Home”

The producer has dropped a pulsating eight-minute house workout.

Octo Octa—aka Maya Bouldry-Morrison—has shared “Find Your Way Home,” the irresistible first track from her upcoming EP She’s Calling.

The peppy house track bounces along with the swagger of techno resplendent with vinyl scratches and synth warbles. Bouldry-Morrison wrote “Find Your Way Home” at the start of 2020, mere weeks out from deciding to cancel her tour and head home to the United States of America.

“She originally intended the title as a metaphor, the journey being internal, but the title would prove to be prescient,” T4T LUV NRG, the label co-founded by Octo Octa, shared in an accompanying press release. “She made the song in order to take a trip into herself, to bring herself peace during an intense time.”

Bouldry-Morrison started exploring the concepts of music and ritual in 2019 with her album Resonant Body and For Lovers EP. She’s Calling will document the producer’s continued work in that domain with two other tracks alongside “Find Your Way Home.”

She’s Calling is out on February 5. Keeping in line with T4T LUV NRG’s preceding releases, 50 percent of the profits from the release will be donated to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project to help remove barriers for people discovering their gender identity and expression.
