Marshmello collabs with A Day to Remember on “Rescue Me”

Metalcore and electronic music collide.

Marshmello and Florida metalcore outfit A Day to Remember have released a brand-new song titled “Rescue Me.”

ADtR’s frontman Jeremy McKinnon leads the charge on the explosive track, his gritty vocals backed by crashing guitars and pummeling drums. But as soon as the chorus kicks in, the production breaks into a swirl of candy-colored synths. “When I found you / I found me / Lost in the sands, only you can read / My SOS, yeah, you rescued me,” McKinnon belts during the drop.

In a tweet, the masked producer revealed that the unlikely collaboration is the first single off his forthcoming LP, Joytime III, out later this year. The song also marks ADtR’s return to music since 2016’s Bad Vibrations.
