Major Lazer remix The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights”

The chart-topping song gets a dancehall makeover.

Major Lazer have unveiled a remix of The Weekend’s “Blinding Lights,” the chart-topping hit from his latest album After Hours.

The rework transforms the dark synth pop song into a groovy dancehall tune that eventually builds to a funky, horn-driven chorus. “I said, ooh, I’m blinded by the lights / No, I can’t sleep until I feel your touch / I said, ooh, I’m drowning in the night / Oh, when I’m like this, you’re the one I trust,” The Weeknd sings.

Last month, Major Lazer teamed up with Marcus Mumford, frontman of Mumford & Sons, for “Lay Your Head on Me.” On the other hand, The Weeknd recently dropped a dizzying video for “Until I Bleed Out” and added three bonus tracks to After Hours.
