Major Lazer release deluxe edition of ‘Music is the Weapon’

The expanded version features five new tracks.

Major Lazer have unveiled Music is the Weapon (Reloaded), the deluxe edition of their 2020 album Music is the Weapon.

The expanded version adds five new tracks, including the previously released “Diplomàtico” collab with Puerto Rican rapper Guaynaa, to its original 12-song tracklist. “Titans,” a dancehall-inspired collaboration between Major Lazer and Diplo’s LSD bandmates Sia and Labyrinth, kicks opens the deluxe edition. “Hey, hey, I drop it like it’s hot into this part-ay-ay / Hey, hey, I pop another bottle and I turn up, baby,” Sia chants.

Other songs include “C’est Cuit” with Aya Nakamura and Swae Lee, “Hands Up” with Moonchild Sanelly and Morena Leraba, and “Pra Te Machucar” featuring ÀTTØØXXÁ and Suku Ward.

Music is the Weapon was rumored to be Major Lazer’s final album, though the group have yet to confirm the speculation. The genre-spanning record featured contributions from a slew of global artists such as Khalid, Alessia Cara, J Balvin, Anitta, Skip Marley and more. Rappers Nicki Minaj and French Montana also made cameos, on “Oh My Gawd” and “Bam Bam” respectively.
