Major Lazer have released a video for their new single “Que Calor,” featuring J Balvin and El Alfa.
The rhythmic track infuses dancehall and dembow, making extensive use of a flute motif sampled from 1993 Colombian song “Curura” by Totó La Momposina y sus Tambores. The Colin Tilley-directed clip follows a dance troupe as they shake through an industrial building, taking the party underground in quite a literal fashion.
“Que Calor” follows previous Anitta-assisted single “Make it Hot” from their as-yet-untitled fourth album. Their last full-length album, Peace is the Mission, came in 2015, and spawned hit single “Lean On” with MØ.
