Lust for Youth explore Mexico City in “By No Means” MV

Scenes from streets, parks and lucha libre matches.

Danish duo Lust for Youth have unveiled “By No Means,” another single from their upcoming eponymous sophomore full-length.

A late-night track that sounds conjured from the darkest corner of a club, “By No Means” touches on the iconic sounds of the ’80s—think New Order and The Smiths, with brushstrokes of Eurodance and a touch of revival-era post-punk in the form of LCD Soundsystem and The Presets.

It arrived with a no-frills music video that seems to have been shot on a smartphone. It flits from sights on the streets of Mexico City to squirrels scampering, dancers, window views and a glut of lucha libre scenes. The bustling capital is presented in quite an understated light, matching the darker vibe of “By No Means.”

The single is one of eight tracks on Lust for Youth’s forthcoming self-titled album, which arrives June 7. Watch the “By No Means” music video here:
